2nd Annual Hunt for Hope Scavenger Race!

*Violation of any of these rules, in the sole judgment of the organizer, will result in disqualification – no refunds. *I understand and will abide by the rule that all teams must complete clue tasks together and be in photographic proof of doing so. *I understand that entering the Hunt for Hope Scavenger Race is a potentially hazardous activity, and I agree not to participate unless I am medically able. *I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the race. *I agree to obey all traffic, civil and criminal laws at all times. I understand no roads are closed for the Hunt for Hope Scavenger Race, and I agree to follow all traffic and pedestrian laws at all times. *I understand and will abide by the rule that no dogs are permitted in the race. *I understand that all entries are final with no refunds. *I understand that the official race director reserves the right in any event of emergency or local or national disaster to cancel the race or to change the day and/or time to a later day and that in the event of cancellation or change there is no refund of entry fees. *I understand that participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times, including obeying all laws. This includes respect for all people, equipment, and facilities, and cooperative, positive participation. Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc. may dismiss anyone whose behavior endangers safety or negatively endangers safety or negatively affects a race, a person, a facility, or property of any type or kind. *I do hereby fully release and forever discharge Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc., race volunteers and staff, from any and all claims for injuries, damages or loss, including death, that I may have or which I may accrue to me and arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with these programs/activities, including those arising from negligence of Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc., race volunteers and staff. I further agree to hold harmless any and all businesses associated with the race and/or on the race route. *I consent to allowing my photographed and videotaped likeness at the discretion of the Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc. (Hope Council). I understand and agree that any photograph or videotape using my likeness will become property of the Hope Council. I further acknowledge that, since my participation is voluntary, I will receive no compensation from the Hope Council. I hereby irrevocably authorize the Hope Council to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish and/or distribute a photo or videotape of my likeness for purposes of publicizing the Hope Council and its events or for any other lawful purpose. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the photograph or videotape. I hereby hold harmless and release forever and forever discharge Hope Council on Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse, Inc. from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization. I am at least 18 years of age and am competent to contract in my own name, or I am signing for my child who is under the age of 18 and am competent to contract on his/her behalf.
